I don’t make best-of ambient lists, but I know a lot of people search for music that way and end up here on ASIP wanting an introduction to what others may deem the best Ambient music out there. So with that in mind, we have collected some of our mixes and features below that highlight some of our favorite (best) Ambient music, albums and releases through the years. They’re not extensive or ordered in any way, but they’re a good start given they go back a few years now.

Since 2010, they have often taken the shape of mixes, as part of our ‘Reflection on…’ series, which is an annual feature from ASIP that combines some of our favorite Ambient music and related styles in one long mixed journey for you to not only explore further, but enjoy. Within these mixes, you’ll find plenty to listen to, crossing all genres related to Ambient music, including drone, chill out, experimental, modern classical, IDM, electronic, dub-techno, and many more surprises.
