Verdant Recordings – Cosmos

cosmos750x750 Verdant Recordings Cosmos

Andy Green is back on our radar with another sublime mix under his Verdant Recordings moniker. Apparently, Andy has been on a bit of a house and techno trip recently and this mix marks a return to his more ambient and dub-techno guise and as always, it’s one hell of a Sagan inspired crate-digging experience.

The tracklist contains some hard to come-by artists and is carefully mixes with a natural progression, from ambient and sparse electronics to more beat-orientated music and dub-techno. There’s one of my favourites from Claro Intelecto as well as one from bvdub’s new release under his Earth House Hold guise. You’re bound to find something in here you haven’t heard before, and will no-doubt enjoy it at the same time. Double-win.

You can see some of Andy’s past mixes on ASIP here, including ‘Tranquilized’, ‘Lost In The Halls Of The Mountain King’ and the winner from his recent mix competition by Grantcorp.

  1. Def recommend people follow Mr Green’s mixes. There’s always a little magic in them (if not a whole lot). The man has great taste.

  2. I was too you young in the 70′s to give the proper attention to Carl Sagan he deserved but looking back we really must have been an inspiration to many. Arguably he was on the cusp of being an eccentric but he spoke with great eloquence and common sense. Such a shame there are so few of these people around to influence our politics and approach to understanding and appreciating the world and its finite value.
