If you’ve managed to check ASC and Sam KDC’s Decayed Society, you’ll know that these are two of my favourite producers at the moment. Both turned in some stunning remixes for RQ’s latest release, ‘Memory Fields’, and now the pair are back together with ASC extending an invite to Sam KDC to contribute on the long-standing Deep Space Mix Series.
Starting with the original of RQ’s Memory Fields, Sam KDC takes us on a mini-tour of his favourites, productions, exclusives, collaborations and remixes aswell as featuring a couple of tracks which are new to my ears – the perfect mix formula. Not forgetting appearances by a few other ASIP favourites; Loscil, 36, Tim Hecker and William Basinski.
Sam KDC is also kind enough to feature Markus Guentner’s Places Series track, Dockside as well as, ‘Umgebung’ taken from Markus’ 2005 Kompakt release, 1981.
