If you’re the type of person who pays detailed attention to album notes and always reads who put the mastering gloss on to the talent that you’re sat there listening to, then you may have seen Anders Peterson modestly gracing the small-print.
Anders Peterson (A.P) is a sound designer, composer and audio post production engineer that runs the audio postproduction studio GS Mastering & Post, and also a label called Ghost Sounds. Ghost Sounds explores the the deeper end of ambience and abstract music and his exclusive ASIP mix is a close match of what to expect from any Ghost Sound production. It’s a superb blend of ambient, dub-techno, electronica, instrumental and everything in-between.
As you would expect from a man who’s day job is to continually refine other people’s music, the mix is full of hidden gems and lesser-known artists bursting with quality – just what we like here at ASIP – a few new discoveries to dig into. Federsen and Recue are just two stand-out artists featured in this mix which I think many of you will enjoy..
Anders has also recently released an EP titled ‘Garden Therapy’ featuring a floaty ambient remix by Atheus, available as a beautiful heavyweight picture disc. You can hear samples of the EP here and parts of the original track in Anders’ mix.
