The man behind one of my favourite releases of the year – ‘Morning Mountain‘ (a shiny reprise of Rhian Sheehan’s ‘Borrowing From The Past’), Essáy has put together a lovely little mix for Night Tracks.
Continuing his modest streak, not only does Simon explicitly release his music for free, he has described this set as ‘more of a tracklist than a mix’. I’ll leave the interpretation up to you guys, but it’s a delicate blend of glitchy ambient and beautiful textures representing much more than a few tracks thrown together for the sake of a tracklist…
There’s also an interview of the Night Tracks blog should you wish to find out more from this talented producer and label owner from Germany.
