ASC + 36

You lovely people are probably all over this already, but now we’ve got a tracklist for ASC’s rather spectacular mix for MNML SSGS, it’s worthy of a fully fledged ASIP post (for whatever that’s worth!)

ASC’s Resident Advisor mix from November 2010 is still getting weekly plays on my iPod. A sublime mix of downtempo and electronic music more commonly referred to as the ‘Autonomic’ sound. Well, ASC is also famed for his stunning Deep Space ambient mixes, so it only made sense to put together a mix that combined both sounds. Thanks to MNML SSGS, that’s exactly what we got. A dream inducing first half of ambient and a second half more akin to James’ Autonomic sound with several releases from his Auxiliary label.

ASC also took the opportunity to tease us with 36‘s latest track, ‘Cocoon’ taken from the recently released limited edition EP, ‘Cocoon/Saphron‘. As expected, it’s lush, deep, emotive ambient we have all come to love from Dennis. There’s a 7″ available to buy (limited to 100 copies… erm make that 99) and the EP is also available to download digitally for a very reasonable price.
