After his Perfect Fourtet, Perfect Aphex Twin, a recently released Perfect Orbital and his ‘Sound Of Ancient Leafs and Bamboo‘ exclusive ASIP mix, DJ Rich-Ears didn’t waste time sleeping on his next blog exclusive.
Along the same lines as his last mix (The Sound Of Ancient Leafs and Bamboo), DJ Rich-Ears has extended the listening pleasure this time around to two hours thirty minutes. ‘Just out of bed’ is an eclectic mix of downtempo, ranging from the steadfast Rich-Ears soundscapes we have come to love, to spoken samples, Balearic chill, acoustics and of course, a touch of classic ambient.
I’m guessing DJ Rich-Ears got out of bed a tad too quickly, because unfortunately the tracklisting is still a work-in-progress. But, be safe in the knowledge, this mix features a stellar get-up including:
Irresisitible Force, Global Communication, Art of Noise, Another Fine Day, Bill Laswell, Susumu Yokota & Rothko, Terre Thaemlitz, Bola, Nobukazu Takemura, Jaga Jazzist, David Toop & Daniel Pemberton, Ko-Wreck technique, Terrence McKenna, Jam & Spoon, Massive Attack & Brian Eno and many more….
Just out of Bed by Rich-Ears productions
Again, a big thanks to DJ Rich-Ears for the time and effort involved in the mix. Not forgetting, the wonderful artwork by Wilbert Leering (who also produced the artwork for ‘Sound of Ancient Leafs and Bamboo’ and most of DJ Rich-Ears mixes).
