Something a bit more up-tempo this weekend; the outstanding title track taken from UK based chillwave producer Tropics first EP, Soft Vision.
Lush, endless shimmering synth’s, ethereal vocals and sharp oscillating drums, Soft Vision crosses euphoric boundaries I didn’t know existed. This guy is only 22 years old and this, his first EP. Can’t wait to see what else he has up his sleeve.
Just promise me, you’ll download the free MP3 below and play it loud, with headphones. Don’t even test the water, just jump right in…

The other two tracks on the EP aren’t to be sniffed at either, check them out on the Planet Mu website, where you can also preview and pre-order the 12″, CD or MP3 EP (release date October 4th). Thanks to XLR8R magazine for providing the free download.
Now, fancy a bit more of the same? Try Tropics remix of Little Dragon’s ‘A New’ or Chris Ward’s (Tropics) Soundcloud featuring even more tracks, or his latest mixcloud, featuring Tycho, Baths and Fur:

Never heard about Tropic before, amazing sound. Nothing had impressed me so much since listening to Ulrich Schanuss for the first time.
Thank you Ryan for the compilation.
